INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE / WARRANTY

Watches

Thank you for purchasing an OXETTE watch. For best use, please read the instructions carefully.

Warranty

The warranty to be mentioned applies to all watches that have been sold or are about to be repaired under warranty in all countries.

Your Oxette watch is guaranteed for 24 months from the date of purchase. In order to benefit from this guarantee you are required to show the Guarantee Certificate, the full details of which have been correctly filled in by Oxette stores or an authorized Oxette representative.

If within the 24 month warranty period you find that a part is faulty due to a manufacturing fault, it will be repaired free of charge. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper handling, lack of care, accidents and natural wear and tear of the crystal, strap, bracelet or battery.

There is a period of six months for free battery replacement. The owner of the watch pays all repair, postage, insurance and shipping costs after the two year period has passed.

In the event that the product needs repair or replacement, whether it is in or out of warranty, the costs of delivery and shipping outside of Greece are borne by the consumer, otherwise it is free upon receipt from the store of purchase or from authorized points of sale within Greece.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

It is strongly recommended that you have your watch serviced and repaired by an Oxette store or an authorized Oxette dealer. Each watch has a unique serial number, which is shown on the Warranty Certificate. This number allows us to provide you with personalized and efficient maintenance services. Keep this certificate as proof of the origin and authenticity of your watch.

You have been warned!

  1. The warranty does not include crystal, metal or rubber parts.
  2. The warranty does not cover damage caused by water when the watch is not marked as "waterproof" (please look at the back of the watch).
  3. The warranty does not include scratches or other defects created by misuse, which is certified by an authorized Oxette store.
  4. This guarantee is only valid if it is correctly completed and stamped by an authorized Oxette store and/or accompanied by the proof of purchase.
  5. Oxette reserves the right to waive any liability arising from this warranty if the watch has been damaged by unauthorized Oxette service.
  6. Photocopies of the Warranty Card Certificate are not accepted.
  7. The warranty does not affect the legal rights of the owner
  8. The warranty does not apply if the watch has been damaged by natural disasters such as fire, flood or earthquake.

Water resistance

Your watch is water resistant to a minimum pressure of 3ATM, which means it is resistant to light moisture such as rain or splashing during everyday general use. You should not immerse it in water. The warranty covering the water resistance of your watch is valid for 24 months according to the Warranty Certificate.

The watch's water resistance is ensured by its various seals, the effectiveness of which decreases over time due to frequent use.

It is recommended that the watch be checked by an Oxette store or authorized Oxette dealer every two years to replace worn seals that may affect the watch's water resistance.

Watch care precautions

Your watch contains precision components. To ensure the best possible use, follow these simple watch care guidelines:

  1. Do not leave your watch exposed to extreme conditions for long periods of time: direct sunlight, extreme heat or cold.
    • Excessive heat can cause malfunction and shorten the life of the battery (Quartz).
    • Due to extreme cold your watch may "lose" or "gain" minutes.
  2. Do not operate any of the function buttons or the crown when the watch is submerged in water. If water vapor or water appears inside your watch face, have it checked by a professional immediately. Water can corrode the electronic parts inside the watch.
  3. Avoid excessive jolts or bumps. The watch is designed to withstand shocks during normal use.
  4. Do not use soap or other chemical products that may damage the watch.
    • Avoid wearing your watch when handling strong chemicals, solvents or gases. They may cause discoloration, wear or damage to the case, strap and other components.
  5. Avoid high voltage fields or static electricity as they may damage your watch. In general, your watch is not affected by the magnetic fields generated by household appliances such as televisions or stereos.

Cleaning the Oxette watch

If you wear your watch every day, it can get dirty. To give your watch a longer life, clean it regularly.

Keep your watch clean

  • Clean it with a soft cloth. Do not submerge the watch in water.
  • Wash the metal straps from time to time to maintain their beautiful appearance. Clean with a soft brush dipped in mild soapy water. Dry the bracelet thoroughly by wiping with a soft cloth.
  • Plastic or rubber straps: wash gently with water. Do not use chemical detergents.
  • Leather straps: lightly rub the surface using a dry soft cloth.

This watch is a piece of jewelry and should be used with care. We are not responsible for loose stones or damage caused by misuse of the product.

CAUTION!

  • Keep batteries away from children.
  • If you accidentally swallow the battery, call a doctor immediately.
