There are millions of slaves in the entire world, more than at any other time in history! Human trafficking is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world, generating profits of over €135 billion every year.
It is reality, hidden before our eyes, and it is destroying the social fabric of every nation and economic structure. The A21 organization aims to abolish slavery in the 21st century, with three essential steps:
1. THE APPROACH OF FAULTS AND THE REDUCTION OF DEMAND.
The A21 organization prevents slavery from happening by raising awareness through events, presentations and training programs.
2. THE RESCUE OF VICTIMS AND THE RENDERING OF JUSTICE TO THEIR CARRIERS.
A21 works closely with authorities to support investigations, identify victims through the organization's hotline, prosecute traffickers, legally represent survivors in court proceedings, and work with governments and other NGOs to eradicate slavery in every level.
3. REHABILITATION OF FORMER VICTIMS AND EQUIPPING THEM TO LIVE INDEPENDENTLY.
Individuals from the A21 organization work personally with the people who come into the organization's care, offering them access to housing, medical care, counseling, education and repatriation, depending on their individual needs.
